Public Records Policy
Requests for case records from the Toledo Municipal Clerk of Court will
be accepted by mail, e-mail or in person. Our public service counter in the
Criminal / Traffic Division is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m.
until 4:30 p.m. for such requests. In the Civil Division our public service
counter is open from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Information requested by use of a case number will be supplied upon request.
Criminal / Traffic information requested by use of a case
party's name must be accompanied by that party's social security
number or date of birth in order to allow the Clerk to make a
positive identification of the involved individual.
A telephone number must accompany information requests that are
to be personally retrieved from the Clerk's office, so that the
records requester may be contacted when the information is
ready. Information requests, which are not personally retrieved
from the Clerk's office, will require a mailed response from the
Clerk and, therefore, must be accompanied by a name and address.
Information that can be provided is local case information
constituting a public record of the Toledo Municipal Court. No
statewide LEADS information or national NCIC information will be
provided as the dissemination of such information is prohibited
by state and federal law.
Requests for information made in mediums other than that which
is described above must be made to the administrative staff in
the Clerk’s office to facilitate a timely response.
